Goldthorpe Scouts reach new heights - 16,800 feet to be exact!

On Sunday, Goldthorpe Scouts enjoyed an afternoon of gliding at the Yorkshire Gliding Club across the North Yorkshire moors.  They reached a combined height of over 16,800 feet.

After spending the Saturday night camping on the airfield, we awoke to fog, so we spent some time on the glider simulator and getting to know some aircraft that were used to get the gliders into the sky.
