Great fundraising effort to fuel the adventure for Goldthorpe Scouts

Piles of change - making a big difference
Beavers, Cubs, and their families with a little bit of help from the Goldthorpe Scout leaders put in great effort in their bag packing extravaganza at Morrison's Cortonwood today.  From the moment the tills were open at 10am, we were helping keeping the customers flowing through and everyone even seemed to be having a bit of fun which was nice.  There were lots of stories from folks who said "I used to be in the Scouts...we all had a great time", we enjoyed sharing their nostalgic moments whilst we filled the shopping bags.  We had a change of crew at midday, and a new batch of Cubs came on the scene.

A whopping £763 was raised - top job to all those who gave their time to help ensure that we give Scouting in Goldthorpe a much needed cash boost!

Well done to you if you joined in today, it's great to see such support, please let your Beaver or Cub Scout know how well they did.
